Dr. Kanika Aggarwal completed her Surgical Fellowship (Vitreoretina and Uvea) and Ophthalmology residency at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, India. She has also worked as a Clinical Research Associate in Vitreoretina for 3 years at PGIMER. Dr. Kanika has a vast clinical experience as a vitreoretinal surgeon in both Government and Private Sectors. She has been conferred the Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, UK.

Dr. Kanika has delivered a number of presentations at various international meetings including American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO). She has more than 65 indexed peer-reviewed publications and authored more than 6 book chapters. She has been a part of various international collaborative research projects and has won several prestigious awards in her field including the Carl Herbort Award and the Narsing Rao Award for her research work. She has also been the chief and co-instructor in the annual meetings conducted by the All India Ophthalmology Society (AIOS).

Dr. Kanika is a skilled vitreoretinal surgeon and proficient in the surgical management of conditions such as diabetic tractional retinal detachments, rhegmatogenous and combined retinal detachments (pars plana vitrectomy and scleral buckling), vitreous hemorrhage, nucleus drop, endophthalmitis, and various macular surgeries including epiretinal membranes and macular holes. Her primary areas of interest include diabetic retinopathy, surgical diseases of the retina, and uveitis. She is a compassionate caregiver dedicated to delivering the best possible eye care to her patients.
