With an experience of more than 30 years of practice in Ophthalmology, Dr. Yogesh Kapoor specializes in Cornea, Cataract and Refractive surgery. He completed his MBBS and MS (Ophthalmology) from one of the oldest medical institutions of India, Sarojini Naidu Medical College, Agra. Starting as a general Ophthalmologist in the initial years of practice, he promoted himself as Cataract and Refractive surgeon. His area of expertise has been cornea, refractive and cataract surgeries for more than 19 years. He is also proficient in Phakic lens implantations and Refractive lens exchange for cases not fit for laser vision corrections. His experience in conventional and femtosecond laser assisted cataract surgeries with premium IOL implantation is enormous. He has a vast experience in treating corneal disorders like Keratoconus, corneal ulcers, keratitis and corneal injuries.
He has a special interest in the management of Ocular surface disorders, of which the Dry Eye Syndrome forms an important part. Pterygium excision with conjunctival autograft, Tarsorrhaphy, Lateral canthoplasty, Chalazion excision are few other surgeries done by him.
He had been training Ophthalmologists from different parts of the world for Lasik and Cataract surgeries in India. He was the adviser for Biotech Vision Care for the development of their phakic lens which is now available in Europe, Middle East and other parts of the world. His UAE experience is upwards of 9 years.
